City of Peru Animal Care & Control's Adoption Policy

Applications are required for adoption. We require that any other dog in your home is altered before we place one of our dogs with you. We require that any other dog in your home also be current/up to date on their vetting. We express the importance of ensuring that your fuzzies are kept current on heartworm preventative (heartworm is a NASTY disease carried by mosquitoes) and flea/tick prevention. 75 German Street Peru, Indiana 46970 **The site of the Old Miller Pool Building. ***Please remember that our Animal Control Department is a department of ONE. If you would call and make an appointment at 765-473-6055, that would be GREAT! If you happen to stop up to the facility and the gate is open and the truck is there, we LOVE visitors!
