Dutchess's Story

This little sweetheart is looking for her forever family — and she just might steal your heart! 🖤
Duchess, nicknamed Chess, is a 13-week-old German Shepherd mix with big eyes, a bigger personality, and all the puppy potential in the world. At 25 lbs, she's a little lady right now, but we expect her to grow into a beautiful medium-sized dog.
Chess can be a little shy when she first meets you — but don't let that fool you! She settled into her foster home quickly and has been thriving ever since. She's already making great strides with potty training and crate training, which is impressive for such a young pup. Smart girl!
She absolutely loves playing with other dogs, especially younger, playful ones, and we think she'd do best in a home with a furry sibling to keep her company and burn off that puppy energy. There's a cat in her foster home — she's still working on her manners there (she's 13 weeks old, give her a break! 😄) — so a cat-free home or a patient cat would be ideal.
Chess is still very much a puppy and will need appropriate chews, consistent training, and loving structure to help her become the amazing dog we know she's going to be. She's a quick learner with so much promise.
A few important details:
Chess has received two sets of vaccinations and will need to be spayed at 4 months. Because of this, we're looking to place her in a foster-to-adopt home — meaning you'd welcome her in now and make it official once she's ready!
Is Chess your girl? If you're ready to give this little shepherd mix the structure, love, and playmate she deserves, we'd love to hear from you. Reach out to learn more or start an application today! 🐕
https://www.fromforgottentoforever.com/fosterapplication/
