Dusty's Story

We have bios from the foster mom for these two adorable pups!!!

Everyone, meet Husk (F-brown) and Dusty (M-brown/white), our current foster babies from Prairie Pooches Rescue. They've been with us for about 2 weeks now, and they're adjusting nicely to the sweet life of having a home to live in, full bellies, and love.

šŸ’™Mr Dusty is also a pretty sweet puppy, who likes to lay at the kitchen table and watch me as I prep meals. He's extremely food motivated, and is as smart as a whip. He was the first of the puppies to learn to sit, and constantly tried to teach his sister, by using his paw to push her butt down, too. It was pretty funny to watch, and solidified his reputation as a bit of a funny guy. He is also learning to spin, as his second trick. He's definitely got the puppy energy, and loves to play tug, or play games in the yard where he can run with and chase the other dogs. He's also great about ringing the bells at the back door, but sometimes it's I think it's just because the bells are fun to play with, and not because he has to pee. šŸ˜‚ Dusty loves to follow you around in the yard, but as soon as he realizes you're not going to leave him out there, he finds his sister to wrestle with, or one of my dogs to run with.šŸ’™

Both Husk and Dusty are crate training, and are finally sleeping in their crate from approximately 10pm til 7am every night, which is a HUGE bonus! No more middle of the night pee breaks, yay!

Prairie Pooches Rescue is a volunteer and foster based rescue. All our dogs are in foster homes and approved adopters are required to meet the dogs at the foster homes.

Adoption fee is $350. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinations UTD, dewormed and microchipped. Adoption applications and home visits are done for all adoptions. Please fill out an application if interested on our website www.prairiepoochesrescue.com

****Due to an overwhelming amount of emails and phone calls we receive we will only respond to ones that have an application attached. Thank you****
