He's a happy-go-lucky goofball with the sweetest heart and a personality thats impossible not to love.<br/><br/>Hand him a squeaky toy, and he'll happily entertain himself while putting on the cutest little show. He's playful, goofy, and always ready to bring a smile to your face—but underneath all that fun is a gentle boy who loves soaking up attention from his people.<br/><br/>Dustin is wonderful with other dogs, great with kids, and already crate trained and potty trained. He may weigh 73 pounds, but we're pretty sure he still believes he's a tiny lap puppy! <br/><br/>This sweet, silly boy is ready to fill a home with laughter, love, and plenty of squeaky toy performances. <br/><br/>Could Dustin be the missing piece to your family? <br/><br/>Dustin is a 2 year old Shepherd Mix that weighs 73 lbs.<br/><br/>Sadly, Dustin tested positive for heartworms. But please dont let this scare you away! We just need to get him into a home during his treatment. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about his heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting or fostering him (wed love to find him a foster home!). Once his treatment plan is completed, Dustin will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions!<br/><br/><br/>ADOPTING A DOG<br/>Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).<br/><br/>If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.<br/><br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
