On the first meeting with Durango, the human was deeply impressed with the quiet patience that was displayed as the canine stood amazingly motionless as the bandana was being stretched and fastened about his neck by a rather clumsy knot tying photographer. Two-year-old Durango is an intelligent canine who is happiest when he is provided with active exercise opportunities and mental stimulation that is engaging for both the canine and the human. Hiding kibble or treats around the house. using puzzle feeders and a DIY snuffle mat, and best of all, teaching new tricks to keep you both active and entertained. Durango walks easily on leash and accepts treats with such a gentle touch that you won’t even notice that the treat is gone as he thanks you with a mesmeric gleam in his eyes. As is common for the Mountain Cur, Durango was born with a bobtail. Durango is a gentleman’s gentleman. His mellow, low-key attitude will make him a perfect by your side loving family companion.
