He’s warm, gentle, and genuinely joyful — the kind of dog who makes you feel lucky just to be around him. At about 25 pounds and still growing, he’s expected to be a large dog with that classic goofy Lab charm. He’s all paws right now, and it’s impossible not to smile watching him figure them out.<br/><br/>Duncan is wonderfully affectionate and thrives on being near his people. He enjoys short bursts of playful puppy energy, but at his core, he’s a fairly low-to-medium energy dog who loves to nap and curl up next to someone. If you’re hoping for a puppy who considers cuddling a competitive sport, Duncan is your guy.<br/><br/>Duncan is totally house trained - and hasn't had a single accident since arriving to his foster home! He is incredibly smart and eager to please and learn. He sleeps through the night in his crate (but also loves curling up in bed next to his foster brother!). While he arrived to the Northeast a bit timid on leash, he has quickly become a confident walker who bops along with his tail wagging.<br/><br/>With other dogs, Duncan is the sweet, easygoing kid on the playground who just wants to be everyone’s best friend. He thrives with a canine buddy and lights up when he has one around. <br/><br/>What he is hoping for - & what WE are hoping for for him!<br/><br/>* Ideally a fenced-in yard to explore and enjoy (not a requirement)<br/>* Ideally another friendly dog in the home<br/>* A family who will love him just as much as he loves you<br/><br/>Duncan is a genuinely special puppy — sweet, steady, and full of heart.
