Dumpling is a 4 month 23 lb love bug of a pup and has yet to meet a stranger, everyone gets all the kisses (and the extreme honor of rubbing her chubby baby belly!). We think she is a Hound Red Heeler mix but we don't know for sure. We have had the honor of fostering her as a family for the last 5 weeks, treating her for typical homeless puppy illnesses and watching her grown and thrive in every way. She has a perfectly clean bill of health, has received almost all of her puppy shots and is actively healing beautifully from her spay surgery.

Miss Dumpling sleeps quietly through the night on the coziest of blankets in her crate next to our bed, she holds her pee until you let her out to bring her directly outside and is doing great with her potty training. She does utilize pee pads around the house when she needs them, but makes sure to always pee and poop while on her leash in our yard. Speaking of leashes, she is learning to walk so wonderfully on hers! We know once she's fully vetted she will make a wonderful car riding, outdoor exploring companion to anyone lucky enough to love her. Dumpling has truly come out of her shell as she continues to grow and loves a good romp and play with her foster siblings. We believe Dumpling would be a wonderful solo pet once she learns it's OK to be alone sometimes, but she would also do great with another high/meduim energy pup who loves to play! Because she loves to play with the young pups in our house it's easy to imagine she might annoy an older dog less active dog who might not be interested in all of her puppy energy. When she's done playing Dumpling loves to relax and nap, whether that's on your lap, next to you on the couch or curled up on a comfy dog bed in the same room. She is becoming more confident and brave as she gets older and seems to be turning into quite the independent little lady. Dumpling has always had the company of our dogs when we have left for periods of time. While staying safe in her crate, she doesn't cry or bark until she realizes we are back home and only then does she bark and cry for joy. Like all puppies her age, she will need potty breaks every 2-3 hours and to continue her socialization and training.

Dumpling has been fostered in a home with two adults, two children aged 9 and 3 as well as two dogs ranging from 30 lbs to 50lbs, keeping up with all members and actively seeking playtime and affection from all who live in or visit our home. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and feel your family is a great fit for Dumpling please send in an application and tell us more about your family.
