Dulce The Sweet Survivor Who is Ready for Her Forever Home <br/><br/>Dulces story is one of incredible resilience.<br/><br/>When she was rescued from a severe neglect case in Puerto Rico, she was nearly 30 pounds underweight after spending much of her life chained without proper food or care. Despite everything she endured, Dulce never lost her trust in people. In fact, one of the first things everyone notices about her is just how loving and happy she is.<br/><br/>Dulce absolutely adores people and loves being part of everyday life. Whether youre relaxing at home, taking a walk through the neighborhood, visiting the park, or spending the day out and about, shes happiest when she gets to be included. She has the perfect balance of affection and independenceshe enjoys being with her people but also knows how to entertain herself and relax on her own.<br/><br/>She has a playful side too! Dulce loves toys, enjoys playing with other dogs, and approaches life with enthusiasm and joy. Her favorite days are the ones filled with adventure, activity, and quality time with her favorite humans.<br/><br/>Dulce is a well-mannered girl who is crate trained, potty trained, and knows several commands including sit, stay, down, and heel. Shes currently working with a professional trainer in Puerto Rico and continues to impress everyone she meets.<br/><br/>Because Dulce is a strong, athletic dog, were looking for a family with experience handling larger breeds who can continue providing structure and guidance. She loves playing with other dogs, but due to her history of starvation, she can be protective of food and other high-value items with other animals. Faor that reason, we believe she would thrive as the only pet in the home where she can feel completely secure.<br/><br/>Dulce has overcome more than most dogs ever should have to.
