Dukey's Story

DUKEY — Mexi-Mix / 6 years / 28kg / M-Neutered

Despite being abandoned outside a Mexican shelter, malnourished and covered in parasites, Dukey faces every day with the biggest smile and an even bigger heart. A loving and noble boy, Dukey is always down for a good play session (with dogs or humans – he loves both!). Although he’s quite a social boy, Dukey is also content just doing his own thing and entertaining himself. Caring and loving, Dukey cherishes cuddles with humans more than anything else. He has oodles of love to give – now he just needs a family to give it to!

Dukey’s ideal home either has a fenced-in backyard or regular access to green space where he can romp around and join other dogs for playtime. He would love a more active family who is excited to take him on long walks and all kinds of fun adventures he doesn’t even know exist yet. Dukey doesn’t know just how good life can get, so he’s hoping that the humans he’s meant to be with are out there looking for him, because he’s been waiting a long time to meet them. If you think you might be Dukey’s people, head to www.dibsrescue.com for all adoption information. Dukey’s adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/).
