Duke's Story

Duke is an approximately 4-year-old, 65 -pound-as-lovable-as-they-come-pittie mix. He may have applications in progress, but is currently available.

Duke is a cuddler, and loves giving kisses! He is a very good boy who knows sit, stay, place, come, down and heel. He LIVES for his walks and is a good boy on a leash. He is great with other dogs and currrently lives with other larger dogs, who he is used to playing with. Both walks and playing with the dogs in his current home help with his energy. Duke does have a high prey drive for small animals, so must (no exceptions) go to a home with a 6-foot fence. No cats and no small children - for the same reasons. He is overall a great dog who can easily fit into the right home.

For Duke, he has an autoimmune disorder and as a result can be a little off balance or wonky sometimes but he is a super loving and sweet boy who deserves a wonderful home. He is such a wonderful boy!

Adoption fee is $375 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.

STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application.
