Duke (Courtesy Posting)'s Story
Can you help this super cute boy who needs a home. We have not met Duke and have no responsibility for him. We are just helping the family to rehome him. Below is what the owner has told us. Looks like he just needs a little training and direction. We are gathering more information and will update as provided. Send an email to gsd3076@yahoo.com for an application. Cost to adopt Duke is just $150.

I am reaching out as my grandparents currently have a German Shepard mix. I would say it is 75% German Shepard and is about 5 years old. He was rescued when he was around 6-9 months old, when he was found roaming the side of a road. He is an inside/outside dog but spends most of his time outdoors. He has very little manners and is an anxious dog, but is a very smart dog. He runs free on my grandparents' land and if he does roam, he comes back. However, my grandpa has dementia and my grandma is his full-time caregiver and a dog is too much between the cleaning, and him having no manners. Because he is used to being in an area where he can run and be free, I know bringing him to town will not be an option. He is a dog full of potential. I am not sure if I would deem him as aggressive as he is friendly with our family and strangers. He does bark when people come up the lane but he hasn't bit anyone. He has a terrible habit of jumping on cars and scratching them!! We also introduced him to our dog who is a one-year-old boxer. They seem to play very well together supervised unless our dog tries to get close to his food then he gets aggressive. Duke is neutered and current on vaccines.
