Duke's Story

We received a surrender request for this stunning guy. Everyone meet Duke, a 3 year old male silver lab! We’re looking for a foster or adopter for him before he can become a Jax’s dog.

Duke is a beautiful but big boy weighing about 80 lbs and that’s because he’s tall and lanky but lean. Since he’s still on the younger side he has the typical younger lab energy but loves to play and explore, so he’ll make a great companion for an adventurous family who loves to spend time outdoors. He’s a little strong on the leash but that can be corrected with some training.

Duke lives with 2 teens now and a small dog now, but he hasn’t really been around younger kids, and because of that and his size, he’ll be happy living with older kids he won’t have to worry about knocking over. He’s unknown with cats.

While Duke knows some basic commands, he will need some additional training and that’s a good thing because it’s a great bonding experience with his new family. He’s smart and a people please so will learn quickly.

Do you want to foster Duke or make him the next member of your family?

If your answer is yes, that’s great! The first step is our foster or adoption application which you can find on our website: https://jlrrescue.org

Our coverage/foster/adoption area is within 1 hour of Warrington, Bucks County, PA which means if you’re more than an hour away you won’t be considered. We’re a small rescue with limited volunteers and we like to be available to our fosters & adopters for support so please respect that.

If you have any questions about Duke, please reach out to us by email at info@jaxslabrescue.org

Jax’s Labrador Retriever Rescue
PO Box 214, Warrington, PA 18976

PA Kennel License #18059

Duke will be an owner surrender from Allentown, PA
