Duke

Duke is a loving guy who weighs just under 70lbs.  He is a sweetheart.  Shy at first but once he opens his heart, he will totally capture yours!<br/><br/>His playfulness and energy does not show his age.  He's still got all the pep in his step and loves to play!  Tug of War is his favorite game.  He loves to chase balls and zoom around the yard like a puppy at times.  Duke loves sunbathing, walks great on a leash and does well in the car.  Snacks are definately one of his favoritest things ever.<br/><br/>Duke is crate trained, potty trained, knows basic commands and even does well getting his nails done and visiting the vet.<br/>He is very treat and toy motivated and it brings him much joy to make his humans happy!<br/><br/>NO CATS or small animals for Duke please.  He does well with other, friendly dogs with slow introduction.  He can have intense, playful energy but for the right dog, would make a great companion.  Duke would also be more than happy being the only pet in the home. <br/><br/>Duke prefers older (if any) children.  The "chaos" that sometimes comes with smaller children in a home, make him nervous and he will try to get away from them.  He does great with older or more experienced children.<br/><br/>He loves to share the bed with his people, and will always let you know if there is a stranger at the gate or someone at the door! <br/><br/>Duke is big, strong and often clumsy, but he is also a love and a joy to spend time with.<br/><br/>He is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.  Duke is heartworm negative and on ProHeart 12 for heartworm prevention.
