Duke's Story
Duke is a 7 year old doodle who lost his original home due to the opioid epidemic. A family member took him in, but Duke was forced to live outside all by himself. Anyone who know doodles, knows how awful this must have been for him.

Luckily for Duke, a concerned neighbor convinced the person to release him to rescue. He had to be sedated and completely shaved down - the horrible pic in the snow is his before pic. Now he is waiting for his hair to grow back out so he can be groomed properly.

It was also discovered that Duke had contracted Lyme disease while he was living outdoors. But now he has been treated, neutered and housetrained & is looking forward to being a part of someone's family.

Duke is good with both other dogs & cats. He loves people of all ages and loves snuggling up on the sofa to watch tv or play video games in the evenings. He does use a crate at night and if his foster mom is going to be gone for extended periods, but it would not be necessary at night - he'd be happy to curl up in bed with you also if allowed.

Duke also thinks it might be cool to have another dog to play with in his new home, but he does not require that. However, he gets along with dogs of all sizes from the 7# chihuahua mix to the 125# Newfoundland in his foster home. He is pretty good on a leash, but he could use some additional training & is very food motivated.

Shoot us a message if you are interested in adding Duke to your family. We have a short application we can send & our adoption process can move pretty quickly. his adoption fee will be $200.
