Duke, Male ,Blue Tick/Walker X, 68 lbs, 1.5 years <br/><br/>It is hard to believe that this beautiful dog came to us as an emaciated, unclaimed stray, who might not have lived had he he not been taken in and given wonderful and appropriate care by his fosters. We will always be grateful to them.<br/><br/>Duke's present fosters describe him as happy,friendly boy who loves people and does well with other dogs.<br/><br/>Duke loves to go for walks. He walks well on leash and even their fosters 7 year old daughter can take him on leash.<br/><br/>But his new owners must remember that Duke is a hound and ,like many dogs,he may always want to follow a scent.<br/><br/>If your family loves to go for long hikes then Duke will love to go with you.( on his leash).<br/><br/>Dog savvy children will have a wonderful canine companion.<br/><br/>The adoption fee for Duke is $600.
