DUKE's Story
Duke is a handsome 2 year old German Shepherd with a big heart and a sensitive soul. He has been through a lot in his young life and is now looking for a calm, understanding home where he can truly feel safe and loved.

Due to a leg injury, Duke requires ongoing medical attention and close monitoring. Because of this, he cannot be kept outdoors and must live inside as a valued member of the family. He does enjoy supervised yard time and is fine going outside for bathroom breaks, but indoor living is essential for his health and comfort.

Duke would do best in a home with no young children. A household with teens aged 16 and older or adults only would be the ideal environment for him. He needs a quiet, structured setting where his boundaries are respected.

Crating is not an option for Duke. His past experiences have made confinement extremely stressful for him, and he needs a home that can accommodate this. An experienced German Shepherd owner is required, someone who understands the breed’s intelligence, sensitivity, and need for consistent guidance.

Duke will benefit greatly from continued training, structure, and positive reinforcement. While he still has a lot to learn, he is eager to bond and thrives on attention, patience, and affection. With the right person, Duke will be a deeply loyal companion who just wants to be loved and understood.

If you are an experienced GSD owner with the time, compassion, and dedication to help Duke heal both physically and emotionally, he could be an incredibly rewarding addition to your life.
