Meet Dug

THIS IS DUG!!! Meet Dug and Ellie, two golden doodle puppies whose gentle spirits and soulful eyes are guaranteed to melt your heart. At just 5 months old they are weighing in at a cuddly 35 pounds each, these siblings are the beautiful offspring of a graceful standard poodle mother and a loving retriever mix father. Dug and Ellie are being surrendered to our rescue by a breeder who feels, 'they are harder to get adopted quickly because they are no longer small puppies and it's taking up too much time to find them families.' Now, the pups are at a stage where they crave affection and guidance and are finding themselves being surrendered. These hypoallergenic pups have spent the majority of their young lives isolated in a backyard, away from the hustle and bustle of a typical household. As a result, Dug and Ellie can be a bit shy and uncertain around new humans. But don't let their initial timidity fool you; with a dash of patience, a sprinkle of gentle coaxing, and the irresistible allure of treats, these sweet furballs will eagerly seek out your love and attention. They need a companion who understands that love, patience, and time are the keys to unlocking their full potential as loyal and affectionate companions. While they may not stay the size of mini poodles - with an expected adult weight around 50 pounds - their stunning looks and loving nature is more than enough. We are on the lookout for adopters who will provide Dug and Ellie with the stability, socialization, and enduring love they so rightfully deserve. While they have grown up together, they do not need to be adopted as a pair and might indeed flourish better once they embark on their own unique life journeys. They are ready to forge special bonds with families that will celebrate their individual personalities and quirks. Concerned Citizens Animal Rescue is committed to ensuring the well-being of Dug and Ellie, which is why we will cover their spay and neuter surgeries at Simi Valley Spay Neuter Clinic once they reach 6 months of age or older. This is part of our promise to support their health and happiness as they transition into their forever homes. If you're moved by the story of Dug and Ellie and feel ready to open your home and heart to one (or both) of these remarkable puppies, please reach out to us at info@concernedcitizensanimalrescue.org. We will promptly send you an adoption application and begin the process of finding these lovable doodles their forever homes - where they will be cherished for the rest of their lives!
