Dude's Story

Meet Dude?

Dude is a shy but curious 3 year old beagle. He's been doing well with his crate/potty training and learning how to be a "house dog".

Dude was found in the middle of the night, in the middle of the road, soaking wet and scared. He had no microchip and was terrified of everything. Since then he's been doing well with his foster mom's 2 GSDs and starting to be playful. It is unknown if he is good with cats, as his foster kitty sibling hides from him. He has experience with kids as young as 5. Dude still has some anxiety and trust issues to work through but he's getting much better about them.

It will take time and patience on your part to give him a chance to learn to trust you. He has not been aggressive at all about anything, cowers when he thinks he's in trouble, or gets scared of loud noises or voices. He wants to play and be loved on, once you gain his trust he's a great companion?.

He MUST have good fencing that he absolutely has no way of getting out of or walk him on a to potty or go do anything. If not he will run away if spooked by something or if he thinks he's in trouble. He's a beagle so he will catch a scent and go off trying to track it. He will try to slip his collar, so NO tie-outs!!

He will bark constantly if he is left alone without a human or dog friend to keep him company. He can be put in a kennel when needed, but another dog friend has to be with him or else he nonstop barks. Dude likes to chew things, so would need to crate him when you leave the house and monitor him with destructable items.

If you are interested in adopting this shy, but loyal guy, please apply.

https://www.jotform.com/242085595491162
