Meet Duchess!<br/><br/>Born around mid-May 2025 and weighing about 45 lbs, Duchess is a mixed-breed sweetheart with a big puppy grin and an even bigger heart! She’s truly an all-around great pup!<br/><br/>Originally rescued by our partner shelter in Mississippi, Duchess is now living her best life in Maine and loving every minute of it! She’s playful, affectionate, and full of joyful curiosity. She adores other dogs and has a blast at puppy daycare, but she’s just as happy being the center of attention with her people, even kids!<br/><br/>Duchess is housebroken, crate-trained, sleeps through the night, and is a champion cuddler. <br/>We haven't seen Duchess with cats, but we think if the cat is dog savvy, she can learn to get along!<br/><br/>Whether she’s running zoomies, playing with friends, or snuggling up after a fun day, she’s an easy dog to fall in love with.<br/>Duchess is ready for her happily-ever-after. Think it might be with you?<br/><br/>PLEASE NOTE - We will check your veterinary reference, to ensure that current and prior dogs have a history of being kept up to date on rabies and distemper, <br/>Current pets must by spayed/neutered.<br/><br/>YOUR ADOPTION FEE COVERS: Transport to Maine, age specific vaccinations, Health certificate, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/lyme/ehrlichia test, worming & martingale collar.<br/><br/>Adoption fees: <br/>Through 6 months of age $450; <br/>7 months to through 5 years $400; <br/>6 years and under 9 years $325: bonded pairs are $500; <br/>9 years and older $250: bonded pairs are $300 <br/><br/>This dog is available unless it is marked as Pending, meaning Pending Adoption. This dog is in foster care locally, ONLY if Maine is listed next to the dogs name; otherwise, the dog is still waiting with our partner rescue for an adoption or foster home in New England. <br/><br/>Imported dogs are transported on a USDA approved transport with a Health Certificate. All imported dogs are quarantined 14 days prior to getting on transport.ve had annual heartworm tests and are on heartworm preventative. <br/><br/>FOR PUPPIES: PLEASE READ!!<br/>Homes considering Puppies must be prepared for:<br/>Flexible Schedules for Potty Training. Puppies can only hold urine for one hour per month of age. Crate Training for the next 10 months to keep them safe from chewing on everything in your home. Supervision with Children and Obedience training. <br/>Socialization; both with new people, children and other dogs outside of the home.<br/>Homes that want a well behaved dog, must be prepared to put the time, effort and costs associated to train a puppy.
