Duchess's Story

Duchess
Female, spayed
Breed: Pittie Mix
DOB: 6/15/13, Age-12 years
Weight: 56lbs.

Duchess' Adoption Fee is sponsored by APR friend, Doug O.

This sweet, senior girl is looking for a new family to show her the love, care, and attention that her previous owners didn't give her. Poor Duchess was picked up as a stray by a local animal control officer and when her owners were contacted, they said they didn't want her back. Our rescue then took her in so that we can find her a family who will appreciate how amazing she is!
Duchess is extremely easy-going and adapts well to any new situation. She is spry for an older dog and moves around just fine. She enjoys short walks, can jump in and out of a car, and will hop up on the couch to lay next to her foster mom. There are 4 other dogs in her foster home, but Duchess just keeps to herself. Being an older girl, she just likes to relax in a comfy spot. She is good in a crate, but doesn't really need to be in one when you aren't home since she sleeps most of the time. Duchess hasn't had any accidents in her foster home. She currently lives in a home without children or cats, so her behavior toward them is unknown at this time.

If you would like to make Duchess a member of your family and are already pre-approved, please private message our FB page or send an email to awesomepawsrescue@gmail.com.
