Duchess's Story

Duchess is a 4 yr old long hair chi. She came to rescue because her owner passed away. She is very shy and will need time to acclimate to new surroundings. New intake, assessment and eval will be posted as she unfolds.
She is hw negative, vacs are up to date and she is spayed and chipped.
Where Duchess is being fostered overwhelmed at this time with the other 10 dogs in the home. She has been outside on lead, and will need leash breaking. She is house broken and pad trained. She would do well wtih one other quiet smaller dog or no other dog. She is not affectionate at this time because she is shy. you can pick her up and pet her in your lap, but she is not comfortable yet with all that. I have had her loose in my home, she does not really interact with other dogs. She most likely would not interact with cats either. She keeps to herself. Is able to eat while someone is watching her so that is an improvement. She will need a quiet home, a very patient person who will aloow her to bloom at her own pace. I would recommend a fenced yard and another dog in the home. Retired would be great. Fostered in Bradenton.
