Puppies are young and cute, they are energetic, eager to learn, eager to please, happy, and exuberant. But it requires a significant commitment by their humans. While training puppies you need time, patience, consistency, routine and lots of love. Providing these essential elements helps them grow into well-adjusted, happy, and healthy furever companions. While we don't want to discourage anyone from adopting a puppy and want to continue to save more, we want the ones adopted to be successful in their homes. We have a large amount of resources available to help families navigate their lives with a new puppy.<br/><br/>All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update.
