Drumstick's Story
## Meet Drumstick

Drumstick is looking for a person who wants a real sidekick—not a dog who occasionally checks in between naps, but one who genuinely wants to do life with you.

Going for a walk? Hes in.
Running errands? Save him a seat.
Making dinner? Hell supervise from a respectful distance and remain available for quality control.
Sitting on the couch? Perfect. He has been training for that moment his entire life.

He is a happy, social dog, but he isnt bouncing off the walls or demanding constant entertainment. His energy is more, Great, were together—whats the plan? He likes being included and settles easily into whatever the day brings.

He loves people, gets along well with other dogs, and is good with kids. He walks nicely with a group and has an easy, friendly way about him. He doesnt need to be the loudest dog in the room. Hes just glad to be there, making friends and quietly working his way into everyones heart.

At home, he has already mastered many of the things adopters hope for: he is housetrained, crate trained, well behaved indoors, and great in the car. He would be a wonderful fit for someone who wants a companion without starting completely from scratch.

He is also smart and very tuned in to his person. He learns quickly, especially when snacks are part of the lesson—which is only fair. He watches your face, waits for direction, and lights up when he realizes he got it right. Praise him once and hell spend the rest of the day trying to earn another good boy.

His one questionable belief is that personal space is unnecessary.

Drumstick considers himself a lap dog, and he will not be accepting feedback on the matter. Give him an open spot beside you and he will lean in, tuck himself close, and gradually become heavier as he relaxes. This is less of a cuddle and more of a full-body trust fall.

He would be a great match for a family, couple, or individual who wants an affectionate dog to join them for walks, weekend drives, neighborhood outings, and quiet evenings at home. He doesnt need a glamorous life. He just wants to be invited.

Sweet, trainable, social, and deeply affectionate, Drumstick is the kind of dog who makes ordinary days better simply by being part of them.

Submit an application to meet him—and please arrive prepared to surrender at least half of your couch.
https://www.welcomehomesanctuary.org/adoption-application
