Drogo's Story

TO APPLY FOR DROGO: https://www.rescuedogslebanoncanada.org/adoption-application

DROGO is an amazing soul that's been through so much pain and suffering but still has the sweetest and most trusting heart. He's also very smart and very affectionate. You will love hugging this big teddy bear!

While driving back home one evening in Lebanon, a rescuer noticed a dog dragging his leash. He seemed confused and disoriented. The rescuer immediately stopped and assumed the dog was lost and simply looking to find his way home. She took a closer look only to find that his neck was oozing puss and the smell was unbearable. He had obviously been "cut loose" after being neglected for an extended period of time. DROGO had been tied up wearing an extremely tight metal collar that it was cutting into him daily. That cruel metal collar cut DROGO almost to the bone! The rescuer says it's the most horrendous neck injury she has ever seen. DROGO was rushed to emergency vet care where the Vet worked for hours to cut the metal chain and the hook that was also embedded in his neck. The wounds were cleaned and treated. DROGO stayed for 2 weeks in the hospital until he recovered.

We are happy to say that DROGO has fully recovered and is pain free. He can run and play and is free to be the beautiful dog that he is. His best friend TACO was adopted in 2022. Now it's DROGO's turn to find his Forever Home in Canada! He deserves a better life!

Personality: Friendly, Social with people, Social with dogs, Affectionate, Playful, Trusting, Confident

Currently lives at a paid boarding facility in Lebanon.
