Dream's Story

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. My name is Dream at the rescue, but I go by Angel. I am a 7lb female chihuahua around 1 year old. I am so sweet and loving, I love to give lots and lots of kisses so you better like kisses because I have lots of them to give. I love to snuggle with my human, but I also love to play with my foster sisters, chew on bones and love my stuffies. I am a typical chihuahua. I am jealous ana I want all the attention. I can be a bit possessive with my human. I love all people, not too shy. I like to snuggle in the bed with my foster Mom. I do have a congenital heart murmur, and I am not able to go under anesthesia. But I am not on any meds, nor do I show any signs of heart issues. It just makes me extra special. Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. APPLICATIONS CAN BE OBTAINED BY EMAIL ONLY. Adoption process includes application, meet & greet, home visit and reference check. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
