Dozer's Story

Update 4/6: ADOPTED!

New photos of Dozer taken on 3/14 at just 7 weeks old. The other photo is of him snuggled with his littermates at 20 days old.

Dozer is a German Shepherd mixed breed puppy born 1/23/05. He is absolutely gorgous! He is a curious, confident, snuggly, and playful pup - just what you would like to see in a puppy his age. He has been well socialized with people of all ages and assorted dogs. He has been fostered together with his littermates and momma and will remain with them until weaned March 20th.

He and his 4 brothers and 2 sisters were born at an area shelter and came into our program when they were just a few days old. His momma is Kahja, a purebred bicolor 71 lb. German Shepherd Dog also in our program. Kahja is a very very good momma. All pups are thriving and growing well. They have already been dewormed and have had 2 vaccinations in their series of puppy vaccinations. All pups will be placed with an enforced spay/neuter contract - no exceptions.

We will consider families with children ages 6 and older who are considerate of animals. A securely fenced yard is required. Being so young, these pups will need a family prepared for the rigors and joys of raising a pup to honorable adulthood. Ongoing training and socialization is a must for these bright and inquisitive youngsters. Someone who works from home, retired, or who can come home midday or who can take puppy to work with them would have an ideal situation. Adoption donation $200 (which includes neuter surgery and microchip identification through our program veterinarians).

If you are interested in adoption, please fill out an Application prior to contacting us.
