Dove's Story

Dove is around 3-4 years old. She arrived in our care starving with a litter of one week old puppies. She is enjoying life now that she is out of mother/survival mode. When she's not in her safe space (loves her crate) you can find her curled up on the bed or claiming her spot on her favorite bench. Or playing with her foster dog friends- she does well with other dogs but only after slow, purposeful introductions. She would also do well as a the only dog in a home. She thrives on routine and structure and adores her people once you've gained her trust. As a cattle dog mix, she communicates through her mouth (hello kisses) but she can also be nippy when excited- so no small kids please. She also must have a secure, fenced yard! Dove is an oxymoron of a dog...equal parts sugar and spice. She can go from zoomies to snuggles in seconds. She's incredibly athletic and high energy, yet VERY cuddly and mellow when its time to settle. She now lives to make her people happy. She's ready for a structured, loving home that will meet her where shes at and adore her like we all do! She is under 40 lbs and the perfect size. SHe is fully vetted, crate trained, potty trained, likes car rides and walks well on a leash.

Dove is fostered in NW MT and potential adopters should be willing to travel to that area to meet her.

Copy the following link to be directed to adoption application. https://airtable.com/app83WZXrZVBtXXg5/shranrPZrFNvGOb0a

Rez Dog Rescue of Montana's Adoption Policy
As the voice of pup/dogs that we rescue and take into our care, our goal is to find them loving furever homes where they become cherished family members. We require homes with fenced yards (acreage in the country will be approved on a case by case basis). At the time of adoption, we require an adoption contract to be signed with the agreement of proper vet care, basic needs being met and the safety of the dog. Meet and greets with the dogs in our care must be pre-arranged through the foster homes since we do not have a shelter. Please contact foster families through individual petfinder ads we have listed. We require in person adoptions. We do not ship or transport. The person or persons who are responsible for and are raising the dog must adopt in person with us.
