Meet Doug

This goofy bundle of enthusiasm is Doug. Big Doug can lack basic doggy manners, that’s because Doug had no one to teach him. At times, Doug can be overly excited and become jumpy or mouthy. However, he is very treat motivated and can easily be redirected and trained with a snack. Doug has quickly learned the “sit” command. Also, once the initial excitement wears off, he does pretty good on a leash. Doug seems to be non reactive to the other dogs at the shelter, however a meet and greet will be required. Cats are unknown and older children would be best, due to his size. This boy loves attention. He has plenty of energy, so daily exercise is a must. If you’re prepared to teach Doug, he’s willing to learn and make it work. This boy is 1 year old and 70lbs. of love and potential.
