Dottie's Story
Please submit an application at https://bcsave.org/adopt-apply/

Dottie (named for the dot on her head) was found tightly tied to a pole and hungry when she was saved by a good Samaritan. Despite whatever her past held, she is full of puppy affection and love that she is eager and ready to give to her forever family!

Dottie is a 7-10M old, 31lb BC gal that is inviting, sweet, and trusting to every person and dog she’s met. While she needs to gain a few more basics, like not jumping or ankle herding/nipping (but hey, she is a border collie!), she is a cuddler, a pleaser and wants to be the best girl. Dottie is a fast learner and with proper training could easily be the best companion for someone willing to give her the time and effort. She does everything with enthusiasm and gusto. She loves being near people: in laps, snoozing on her back on the couch, quietly underfoot at a brewery, playing ball, or riding with her head on the car's console. She is fast as the dickens and bounds like a very large rabbit across the yard or house with a playful frolic. She isn’t fearful or triggered to move by cars or bikes and she’s great on the leash. At barely 30 pounds she’s the perfect size to go just about anywhere with you. She knows her name and her recall is pretty good and improving daily.

Dottie is being fostered in Austin, TX.
