Dottie's Story

Hi there! My name is Dottie and I'm a 3 month old Male Pit Bull Terrier Mix currently living at the Santa Barbara Campus, eager for a new home!

Life is one big adventure, and I'm ready to experience it all! I'm a young puppy with lots of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for the world around me. Whether it's exploring new places, playing with toys, learning new skills, or spending time with my people, I'm always excited to be part of the action. Like all puppies, I'm still learning the ropes and will need a family that's committed to helping me grow into a happy, well-mannered adult dog. That means continuing my potty training, crate training, socialization, and basic manners. A consistent routine, positive reinforcement, and plenty of patience will help me build confidence and succeed! I will also need daily physical exercise and mental enrichment to keep my busy puppy brain engaged. Think: walks, training sessions, puzzle toys, playtime, and opportunities to learn new things. The good news is that you won't have to do it alone. SBH offers puppy classes to help set both of us up for success and provide guidance as I continue learning and growing! If you're looking for a playful companion who's ready to fill your home with laughter, adventure, and lots of love, I might just be the one.

Like all animals at Santa Barbara Humane, before going home I will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped . My adoption also includes a complimentary post-adoption health exam with a participating local veterinary clinic as well as a supply of Hill's Science Diet food to help make my first few days at home a little easier.

If you're ready to welcome me or another animal into your family, stop by during adoption hours-daily from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., except Wednesdays. No appointment or advance notice is r equired!

Need to pick up a few essentials before heading home? Visit the retail center at either Santa Barbara Humane campus, where you'll find toys, treats, collars, leashes, and more at competitive prices. Every purchase helps support the animals in our care and the programs that serve pets and people throughout our community. We hope to see you soon!
