I play hard and then I sleep hard (Foster mom says I sometimes snore)<br/><br/>Things I do in my free time: Zoomies, run and play with my foster sister (she is a rescue from MN Pitbull). When I play with my foster sister we will play tug-of-war, do zoomies together (we do these in the house and outside, foster mom just laughs), we wrestle and chew on bones together. I love to visit with big people and little people. I really love the little people - they are my size. I do go places with foster mom and foster sister - Caribou (I get pup cups), Home Deport (I get lots of pets and meet new people) and I have gone with to the groomers when foster sister needs her nails cut. I will also snuggle, sit on a lap, perch on the back of couch or a dog bed. I also play with the many dogs in the neighborhood - both male and female.<br/><br/>Things I know: My name, come, sit, down, off, place, stay, kennel, no, leash manners and I know to run to the front door when I need to go outside to do my business. I also take treat very well - I will sit and wait until foster mom says nicely. I also know to wait on my bed to go eat until foster mom says, “Go Eat.” Foster mom says I am a very smart girl and learn very fast. I also have great recall. I also do very well with routine. I do also know that I am not to be in the kitchen when foster mom is cooking and to not beg when people are eating.<br/><br/>Things I am learning/currently working on: Not jumping up on people when I am just so excited to see them. I am also trying really hard to not eat so fast, foster mom gives me my meals in a slow feed bowl to help with that.<br/><br/>Who I currently live with: 1 adult human and 1 adult dog (female)<br/><br/>How I do with kids: I love, love them! I have been around kids from the ages of 3yrs to 15yrs.<br/><br/>How I do with dogs: It is complicated.... I do like other dogs but when I can't get to them, I get frustrated. I am currently in board and train training so hopefully, I can get over this issue. The rescue will explain more and put you in touch with my trainer so you can get the full picture.<br/><br/>How I do with cats: No cats, please.<br/><br/>My current size: I am approximately 43 lbs.<br/><br/>How I do in my kennel: I do great when there is consistency. When I first go into the kennel, I do bark for a few minutes, just to remind you that I am in the kennel. When foster mom is getting ready to leave and we go outside, I know to go into my kennel when I come inside. When I hear the garage door open, I start to bark, I am so excited that my foster mom is home. I also do not have any accidents in my kennel. Foster mom also has bones in the kennel for me to chew on and keep me occupied.<br/><br/>How I do in car rides: Great! I will either sit and watch outside or lie down. I do love to have the windows done and the wind in my face.<br/><br/>Am I house trained? Yes. I go to the door when I need to go outside.<br/><br/>Additional info from foster: Dottie is looking for a family that will continue her training, practice consistency and leadership with her, and provide her with love in a structured environment. This gal does not do well with a ton of freedom to make all of her own choices.
