Meet Dottie!<br/><br/>Dottie was adopted out years ago from MPBR and unfortunately, her owner passed away so she is back in rescue looking for her forever.<br/><br/>Name: Dottie<br/><br/>Nicknames: Pookie, Peanut<br/><br/>Age or Date of Birth: 10 years old<br/><br/>Activity Level: I love to nap! It’s even better if there’s a human to rest my head on. I also get excited to go outside and go on walks, but since I’m older and can get stiff, walks aren’t very long. I also have a harder time with stairs.<br/><br/>Things I do in my free time: Nap and nap some more. I love to chew on toys; crinkly and squeaky toys are the best. I like to follow my humans around to make sure I’m not missing out on any fun.<br/><br/>Things I know: My name, off, no, hungry. My foster parents are still figuring out what I know.<br/><br/>Things I am learning/currently working on:<br/><br/>Who I currently live with (humans and animals): I live with two adult humans and a male dog.<br/><br/>How I do with kids: Unsure<br/><br/>How I do with dogs: I do great with my brother dog! I came from a house with 3 dogs, so I seem to be ok with them. I do get a little annoyed when my brother gets too close to me while I’m working on a toy, but otherwise I am unfazed.<br/><br/>How I do with cats: Unsure<br/><br/>My current size: Last vet appointment said 69 lbs<br/><br/>How I do in my kennel: I’m working on being in the kennel – it seems like it wasn’t used in my previous home or hasn’t been for a while.<br/><br/>How I do in car rides: I get anxious about what’s going on, but I love<br/><br/>Am I house trained?: Sure am! I’ve had no accidents and make sure to go outside with my humans.<br/><br/>Additional Info from foster: Dottie is so sweet! She wants nothing more than to be with her people and snuggling. She loves treats and takes them so gently. She’s still getting used to city sounds, so she’ll bark at things she hears, but if I say “Dottie” she stops and comes to me. She’s such a good listener. She gets very excited to join us for errands or walks, but she needs help getting in and out of our vehicle (partially because of her joints, but mainly because it’s too high for her). Her walks also tend to be pretty short and then she takes the best nap – so I think they wear her out a bit. She’s currently getting Cosequin and Ursolyx supplements for her joints and muscles, and they’re definitely helping. She’s much bouncier than she was before she was taking those. She’s a happy girl who loves to carry toys around and be near people. If you want a snuggle buddy or a fur baby to keep you company, she’s your gal!<br/><br/>Adoption fee is waived.
