Dottie's Story

Hi there, I am Dottie, and if you are looking for a fun sized bundle of joy with a big personality, well, you just found her.

I am a 1 and a half year old girl, about 32 pounds, which in my opinion is the perfect size. Not too big, not too small, just right for couch cuddles, car rides, and following you from room to room to make sure you are not getting into any mischief without me.

I came in as a stray, so my past is a bit of a mystery, but I am ready to leave all that behind and start my happily ever after. I am spayed, healthy, and full of life. I have this gorgeous speckled coat and perky ears that always seem to be listening for the word walk or treat. People tell me I look very smart, and I think they are right.

I am very outgoing and I love everyone I meet. Strangers, friends, visitors, I consider them all future besties. I tested well with a three year old little girl and was gentle and sweet, because even though I have energy, I know when to be a good lady. I would be happy in a family that wants a dog who is involved in all the action.

Other dogs, yes please. I enjoy having canine buddies and would love a playful companion. Cats, though, are just a little too interesting for me. I cannot help it, they move and I notice. So a home without cats would be best for everyone.

I am at that wonderful age where I am past the tiny puppy stage but still young and ready to learn. I would love walks, adventures, maybe even some training classes so I can show off how clever I am. Most of all, I want a person or family to call my own. I promise to greet you with a wagging tail every single day and remind you how special you are.

If you are looking for a loyal sidekick with a bright spirit and a heart full of love, I am your girl.

Dottie's adoption fee is $275.
