Dot Hudson's Story

Meet Dot (Dottie)

Dot's story began when her mother was rescued, and just a short time later, on Christmas Day 2024, Dot and her siblings were born safely in our care. Now 9 months old and about 40 lbs, this beautiful retriever mix has grown up in rescue - and it's time for her to find a forever family of her own.

Dot is as smart as she is sweet. She already knows sit, stay, and shake, and she's potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, and eager to please. She's wonderful with other dogs and children, making her an excellent family companion. Her favorite game is tug, and she's always up for playtime before settling down for snuggles.

Playful, loving, and incredibly loyal, Dot has spent her whole young life waiting. Now she's ready to grow up in the comfort of a forever home.

Apply to adopt Dot: www.dallasdog.org/adopt
A good Samaritan took Dot's mom, a stray, in and as soon as she knew she was safe she quickly delivered 10 little puppies.

All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
