Dory's Story
Meet Dory A Sweet Survivor Looking for Her Fresh Start

Hi, I’m Dory — a 2 to 3-year-old, 15-pound pup with a soft heart and a gentle spirit.

I was rescued by The Sato Project from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in Manatí, Puerto Rico, where I lived in a home with over 30 other dogs. It was a tough start to life, but I’m finally safe, healthy, and beginning to discover what love and kindness feel like.

When I was rescued, my skin was in rough shape, but I’ve been getting medical baths and special care, and I’m healing more every day. My transformation has already begun — and it’s only going to get better from here.

I’ll be flying into Morristown, NJ around November 8th, and I’m hoping the next chapter of my life begins with a patient, loving family who understands that I may be a little timid at first.

Because of my past, I’ll need a calm, understanding home that will give me time to feel safe and secure. With gentle guidance, I’ll show you just how sweet and loyal I can be. A quiet environment — maybe with another kind dog to help me build confidence — would be a perfect match.

If you're looking for a dog who truly deserves a second chance and will love you with her whole heart, I'm ready.

Let’s heal and grow together. Your adoption helps us continue this vital work.
