Dory's Story

Meet Dory, a 7-month-old black Retriever mix with a big love for life and ears that have a personality all their own! Standing straight up, tilting sideways, or sporting one adorable flop-you never know which look she'll show off next.

Dory is a friendly, energetic puppy who would love an active family and a home with a yard where she can run and play. She loves people, happily soaks up affection, and is incredibly dog-friendly with canine buddies who can keep up with her enthusiastic play style.

Fetch is one of Dory's favorite games, and she'll usually bring the toy back for another throw! She also seems to enjoy water and has loved cooling off in our shelter pool and splash pad.

Like any young puppy, Dory needs a patient, consistent family to help her learn potty training, crate training, leash manners, and other basic skills. A harness and positive practice should help polish her walks. She already has "sit" pretty much nailed, and her eagerness to please gives her a great foundation for learning more!

If you're ready for puppy adventures, backyard fetch, and plenty of love, Dory is ready to meet you!
