Dory's Story

Meet Dory!

Dory is a beautiful 11.5-year-old black and tan German Shepherd mix with a striking light-colored face. She was picked up as a stray and is on the thin side but otherwise healthy. Now shes eager to start her new life.

This young girl is full of energy and personality. Dory is smart, affectionate, and very eager to please. She loves people and soaks up attentionalways ready to make eye contact and figure out what youd like her to do next. She already knows how to play fetch politely, dropping the ball right at your feet for another throw. With her natural curiosity and quick learning, Dory would thrive in a home that can give her structure, training, and a job to do.

Dory has no issues with handling and did great on her touch and food testsno signs of guarding or aggression.

Dory is crate trained, housebroken, and very bright. She is still working on her leash manners and basic obedience, but she learns quickly. She has already improved her impulse control just in a few days with her foster. She is spunky, playful, and guaranteed to make you laughespecially with her hilariously messy drinking style (she bites at the water instead of lapping).

Dory is looking for a forever home with a fenced yard and someone who is home often to keep her engaged and consistent in her training. With patience and guidance, Dory will blossom into a loyal and well-mannered companion.

If youre looking for a young, energetic, and affectionate dog who is ready to learn and bond with her people, Dory could be the one for you.

Please visit our website www.gsdrescue.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.
