Dorothy's Story
Meet Dorothy, a sweet 1-year-old, 17-pound terrier mix that was rescued from a high-kill shelter while pregnant and on the euthanasia list. Dorothy came to our rescue center and safely delivered five healthy puppies—all of whom have since found loving homes. Now it’s Dorothy’s turn to find a forever family. Though she can be shy at first, Dorothy simply needs a patient and understanding adopter who will give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. Once she opens up, she’s incredibly loyal, affectionate, and always ready to roll over for a belly rub. Dorothy is ready to start her new chapter—could it be with you? She is microchipped, vaccinated and will be spayed soon!
