Doris's Story

Doris is a sweet bully mix that is looking for her perfect match. This sweet and loving girl had a very rough start in her life coming from neglectful living conditions. She will need lots of time, patience, and love to help her blossom into a successful canine companion. Doris is working on her socialization with other canines and people. We would recommend her to be the only pet but if you have a canine please discuss with our staff about if it could be a good match. She is a busy girl and has a lot to learn about being a family member so we are requiring her to not be your first pet ever. She would do best with someone experienced and comfortable helping her work on her socializing with people and other animals. Doris is the sweetest once she is comfortable but this does take her some time. We are requiring everyone in the home to visit as well as children in the home be older teenagers. Doris has been on foster and we learned lots about her while out with one of our amazing foster families. Doris has really opened up and has learned that people can be good while on foster. She is still a little nervous but we know the potential is there. If you have any interest in Doris please email lacey.lopez@vbspca.com to set up a visit!
