Dorian's Story

Meet Dorian!

Dorian embodies everything we love about the true German Shepherd spirit—loyalty, intelligence, and a heart full of love. He’s looking for a family who appreciates that classic Shepherd devotion.

Dorian is a 45 pound, 9–10-month-old German Shepherd mix who came to us from a North Carolina shelter after they reached out due to his abnormal gait. He has been seen by our orthopedic veterinarian, and he feels confident about managing his hips with high-quality puppy food and joint supplements—Dorian has been responding beautifully! He runs like the wind with his new fur friends and has no problems getting around.

Before arriving at PWD, Dorian spent a week in a foster home. Here’s what they shared:

“Dorian has been an absolute joy to have in our home! He’s a sweet, playful pup who fit right into our busy household and our three young children (ages 4 to 10). He loved playing with our big foster dog—tug-of-war and zoomies were daily events!

Dorian walks wonderfully on a leash and is easy to handle on our neighborhood strolls. At home, he’s a happy, affectionate companion who adores attention and loves being near his people.

At bedtime, he settles perfectly in his crate and sleeps through the night. Like any young pup, he has bursts of energy, but a good play session or a chew toy helps him wind down. He’s truly a remarkable dog!”.

Dorian has been with us for 4 months at the rescue and is longing to find his family. He has so much love to give!
