Dori's Story

Say hello to Dori, a white Chihuahua weighing 14 pounds of pure love. The vet says she is approximately 2-3 years old. Dori came to our rescue from a North Carolina shelter. She had been found tied to a tree along with a hound dog and some scarred pit bulls at an abandoned place in the woods. The shelter said she & the hound were most likely bait dogs for training fighting dogs. She was quite emaciated and covered in fleas. She has come a long way since then.

Dori is an amazing little girl. Despite the inhumane treatment she received at the hands of humans, she is a very sweet, loving and loyal dog. She is very smart. She listens well and is eager to learn and please her person.

Dori is great with dogs but we're not sure about cats or children.

She is not food-aggressive despite having been starved. She walks well on leash and comes when called if off leash. She is leery of men when first meeting them but is fine once she realizes she won't be hurt.

She loves to snuggle and will be a faithful companion.

Dori is up-to-date on her vaccinations and will be spayed soon. She is also almost housebroken.
