Doofenschmirtz's Story
Why choose me?

Update: Doofenschmirtz is adorable and has the cutest ears and a long body with short legs. He loves to run and chase toys, but he also likes to put his head in your lap and be loved on. When I first met him, he didn't know how to sit for treats, but he's got that now and is ready to learn other skills. He's a sweet, happy boy!
* * *
Doofenschmirtz has some of the cutest ears I've ever seen! He's a happy fellow, and it was good to see him having so much fun today. When Doofenschmirtz first arrived at the shelter, he was frightened and not ready to meet new friends, but a caretaker had him outside today, and he was all smiles and tail wags. I joined them, gave Doofenschmirtz some treats, and soon had a new friend. He's working on sitting for treats but picked up on going over the bridge to earn them right away. Smart boy! Doofenschmirtz came in with Delphi who was in the adjoining interaction pen. They were friendly at the fence, but mostly, he wanted to return to the caretaker for more pets and love. He's a sweet boy who needs a little time to trust, and then he can be a good buddy.

You can read more about this dog and check out additional photos here: https://www.accgov.com/9482/Dogs

The adoption fees, shelter schedule, a description of the rescue and adoption process, and a list of included vetting can be found at https://athenspets.net/adoption-rescue-process.

This dog is available for adoption through Athens-Clarke County Animal Services, located at 125 Buddy Christian Way, Athens, GA.
