Meet Donnie Barko, our sweet 4-month-old pup who’s ready to find his forever home!<br/><br/>We believe Donnie is a Shepherd x Lab mix, possibly with a splash of Hound or Rottweiler in there too — basically a recipe for a smart, loyal, high-energy best friend. 💙<br/><br/>Donnie is very much your typical puppy:<br/><br/>✔️ Chews furniture (we suggest investing in chew toys… and maybe hiding your shoes)<br/><br/>✔️ Makes messes<br/><br/>✔️ Still working on potty training<br/><br/>✔️ Full of wild, wiggly energy<br/><br/>He was picked up as a stray, and sadly no one came looking for him. We can only assume he may have been “too much puppy” for his previous family — but we know the right home will see that he’s just the right amount of wonderful.<br/><br/>The good stuff?<br/>✨ He’s incredibly social and loves other dogs<br/>✨ Would thrive with a confident older dog to show him the ropes<br/>✨ He’s very smart — already knows sit and shake a paw<br/>✨ Only barks when crated<br/>✨ Great eater<br/>✨ Vet checked with no health concerns<br/><br/>Donnie has so much potential and will blossom with structure, patience, and love. He needs a family ready for the commitment, training, and consistency that puppies require. In return, you’ll get a loyal sidekick who will grow up alongside you.<br/><br/>⚠️ Important Adoption Information:<br/>We expect Donnie to be very popular. To be considered, please email animalservices@stthomas.ca<br/> to request an application. Once your application has been pre-screened, we will contact you to schedule a meet and greet with an interview.<br/><br/>Please do not show up at the shelter to meet him.<br/>Visits will not be done without a pre-approved application.<br/><br/>If you’re ready for puppy zoomies, sloppy kisses, and a lifetime of love — Donnie Barko is waiting. 🐶💕
