Meet Donnelly! <br/><br/>Found as a stray in Alvarado with his litter, Donnelly didn’t have much human interaction until he was about 3 months old and is still learning to trust—but at almost 3 years old, he’s already come so far. That's right, he has been waiting for over 2 and a half years to find his forever home!<br/><br/>He may be a little scared at first and will give a soft growl to let you know he’s unsure, but there’s no aggression—just a cautious heart. The magic happens when you give him a moment: ignore him at first, and he’ll come right up, gently sniff your hand, offer a few licks, and from then on, he’s your loyal shadow. Donnelly feels most confident with other dogs and plays well with them, and he enjoys toys and cozy comforts like snuggling under blankets. He knows "sit" and takes treats gently, though he’s still working on leash training and prefers to walk close—sometimes even between your legs—where he feels safest in new environments. <br/><br/>At his core, Donnelly is a sweet, gentle soul who sleeps through the night and will happily snuggle as long as you let him.
