Donkey's Story

If you’re looking for a calm, easygoing dog who’s already mastered the house‑dog lifestyle, Donkey might be your guy.

Donkey is a 2‑year‑old with a naturally low‑energy, laid‑back vibe. He’s the definition of a couch‑loving buddy — happy to hang out, relax, and enjoy life at a slow, steady pace. He gets along well with people and other dogs, and he’s just as comfortable in an apartment as he is in a house, making him a great fit for all kinds of homes.

He’s already got the basics down. Donkey is potty trained, house trained, and kennel trained. He’s not destructive, settles quickly, and has a gentle, easy presence. He knows basic cues, loves food, and enjoys learning new things. His short coat means minimal shedding, and his mellow personality makes him incredibly easy to live with.

Donkey is healthy, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home.

** Rosie Fund is donating $100 towards Donkey's adoption fee. PLUS Bigfoot Pet Photography has added a $350 photo artwork voucher!! Visit Rosie Fund to see videos of Donkey.

Mid America Bully Breed Rescue's Adoption Policy
When you have selected the dog(s) that you are interested in, the first step is to fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application, an adoption specialist will be in touch with you within 72 hours to discuss your application, your home situation and the dog you are interested in. (There are times it may take longer depending on application volume.) Once screening is complete and we feel that an MABBR dog is the right choice for you, we will conduct a home visit. Since MABBR is a volunteer run organization, the adoption process may take a few weeks. Please be patient as this process is very important to ensuring the best possible match between you and one of our adoptables.
