Dolly's Story

To adopt please fill out an adoption http://www.happydogrescue.org/Application595.html

Be sure to watch her video! Dolly is a 1yo female chocolate lab mix who was rescued as a stray in rural MS. She’s friendly, happy, well-socialized, never meets a stranger! Good with other dogs and would enjoy a dog buddy in her new home. Great with cats and living with a cat in her foster home. Great with kids! Easy and low maintenance. Housebroken and crate trained. Good on a leash, rides great in the car. DOB estimated 2-11-25. Weighs about 50 pounds. Healthy, altered and utd on shots. AWESOME young lab mix will make a great companion (and jogging partner) for an active family who love the breed.

Here’s a note from her foster mom: Dolly is a sweetheart, and we love having her flop with us; she's smart, funny, and very entertaining-she wakes up every morning, eager to eat (first), then take a post-breakfast nap, gathering energy for toys, running through the yard, and finding new sticks! She's totally housebroken, and sleeps all night in her crate without a fuss. She gets along great with the resident dog, not trying to be the boss of him, and also tries every day to "charm" the cat, who is typically indifferent, but also enjoys their interactions. She's learning manners, and is easily trained with praise (and treats), knows "sit", and comes when called. Dolly has a lot of love to give, and wants a family to love her; she'd like a dog or cat buddy, but would also be happy with an active person or couple to hike/walk/run/go to dog park with her. When she's tired, she crashes in a big way, usually with a kong or toy in her mouth or between paws, so cute!

To adopt please fill out an adoption http://www.happydogrescue.org/Application595.html

Contact us at reply@happydogrescue.org

Visit us at http://www.happydogrescue.org
