Dolly's Story

AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER IS NOT AN APPLICATION! READ THE ENTIRE POST FOR INFORMATION HOW TO APPLY.

Meet Dolly! Dolly is a 3 year old female goldendoodle and she weighs about 50 pounds. Dolly arrived in rescue when her previous family was splitting up and no one could keep her. Dolly arrived pretty matted and needed to be shaved, but her coat is growing back in nicely. She will need regular grooming though. Her foster mom says: Dolly is a great dog - an affectionate, calm, and gentle pooch. She's a little mouthy (working on it) and is always excited to see you when you return, so she may jump to express her delight (working on that too). She gets along with dogs of all sizes and joins with the others chasing around the yard! But she is always happy to come in and settle down with her humans (she especially likes to share your chair). She's a little too curious about the cats, so, unless yours is dog-savvy, a feline-free home would be best. She's housebroken and does well on a harness with leash. She does bark occasionally at new people and strange noises, so no shared walls. She is crate trained but we do not crate when we leave, as she is not destructive. She seeks attention but is not needy. And she loves to sleep in bed with us, cuddled up against me. Due to her size, she would do best in a home without frail adults or small tykes, as her enthusiasm may result in a tumble. I think she would be fine with dog-savvy, older children. Dolly is loving and eager to please. Open your home to her and she will bring a smile to your face and joy to your heart.

Dolly is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had her teeth cleaned.

Dolly is fostered in the Flagler Beach area and her adoption donation is $525. If you are interested in applying to adopt Dolly, please visit www.floridalittledogrescue.com to read the adoption process and complete an application! Please note that emails simply asking "Is this dog available" will not be returned, as applications are worked in the order received and availability largely depends on when you apply:) Please also know we do not adopt out of state! Thank you!
