Dolly's Story

MEET DOLLY! THE SWEETEST LITTLE LADY LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME!

Some dogs have a way of making you fall in love with them the second you meet them. Dolly is one of those dogs.

Dolly came to us from Rome Animal Control after being found as a stray. Unfortunately, her owners were never located, and this sweet girl found herself needing a fresh start.

Estimated to be around 8–9 years young, Dolly is an absolute DOLL. And yes, that's exactly how she got her name!

This girl is all smiles! She's incredibly friendly, loves meeting new people, and if you're willing to give her a good scratch, well... you've pretty much won her heart. Dolly is the kind of dog who appreciates the simple things in life: a little attention, a comfy place to relax, and someone to love.

A little more about our girl:

Age: Approximately 8–9 years old

Personality: Happy, smiley, affectionate, and incredibly sweet!

Other dogs: Dolly does well with dogs who match her calmer energy. She's not particularly interested in being jumped on or roughhoused with. She's a mature lady with standards, after all!

Cats: Dolly recently moved into a foster home with cats, so we'll have a better understanding of her feline compatibility soon!

Special feature: Dolly has a lipoma (a fatty mass) on her back. It doesn't bother her, and due to its size and location, surgical removal isn't an option. At this point, it's primarily cosmetic, and Dolly certainly doesn't let it slow her down! We think she's beautiful exactly the way she is.

Here's what we love most about Dolly...

Despite finding herself at animal control later in life, she's still so full of happiness. She greets the world with a smile, loves everyone she meets, and seems genuinely grateful for every little bit of affection she receives.

Dolly isn't looking for anything extravagant. She's just looking for someone who will love her through her golden years, appreciate her sweet personality, and give her all the scratches her little heart desires.

And really, isn't that what every dog deserves?

We know older dogs can sometimes be overlooked, especially when they come with a few extra lumps and bumps. But those things don't make Dolly any less deserving of a family. If anything, they make us want to find her someone who will love every single inch of her.

READY TO GIVE DOLLY HER HAPPILY EVER AFTER?

The first step is completing an adoption application!

www.roversdoover.com/adopt

Please help us share Dolly's story! Somewhere out there is someone who needs a little Dolly in their life, and we can't wait for them to find each other.

Rover's Do Over's Adoption Policy
Every animal in our care is unique and special! We strive to ensure that the animal you are considering is not only a perfect match for them, but also for you and your loved ones. Adoption applications are processed in the order they are received. All of our adoptable animals have received age-appropriate vaccines, been microchipped, and are spayed/neutered. The adoption fees contribute towards covering these necessary expenses. If a dog has not been neutered/spayed due to its age, arrangements will be addressed during the adoption process. Every dog is accompanied by a rehoming contract, and if any circumstances change, the dog must be returned to RDO. We are committed to providing lifelong support to our dogs and their families, ensuring they receive the care & assistance they need. Once you’ve chosen the dog you’d like to adopt, please fill out the adoption application below or email us at roversdoover@gmail.com for an adoption counselor to contact you. Adoption counseling is available to ensure a successful adoption.
