Dolly's Story

Dolly is a 7-year-old Dachshund with the sweetest personality you could ask for. She came to us as a retired breeding female, but you would never guess she spent her life in a kennel. Dolly is confident, friendly, and loves being around people.

She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company. When it comes to cats, Dolly thinks she is pretty tough, but the cats seem to know she’s not much of a threat and simply watch her from a safe distance.

Dolly is crate trained and walks nicely on a leash. She will need a little continued work with potty training. She keeps her kennel clean but may have accidents if her cues are missed, so she will benefit from a routine and some patience as she adjusts to life in a home.

Since coming to the shelter, Dolly has received a lot of much-needed veterinary care. She was spayed and had a very overdue dental procedure where she had 23 teeth removed. Despite that, she doesn’t let it slow her down at all and eats dry food without any trouble. Her bloodwork was also run and she is very healthy overall.

Dolly’s adoption fee is $500, which helps offset some of the significant medical care she has received. She is now ready for a loving home where she can enjoy the life she deserves as a cherished companion.

If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate little dog with a big personality, Dolly may be the perfect match
