Dolly's Story

Dolly is a beautiful 3 year old girl who was surrendered to the shelter because the other dog in the family was getting jealous of her. She had to be crated the majority of the day. Dolly sounds like a great companion. She loves men, women, and children and plays with other dogs (but of course, she would need to meet any who would be living with her). She does chase cats. Some of her favorite things are car rides (with her head hanging out the window), chew toys, and balls. She is an energetic girl who plays hard and cuddles hard. She sounds like the complete package! The Humane Society of Clinton County, Indiana's Adoption Policy
We require a "foster to adopt" program for all adopters, whether it be that the pet that you are interested in still has some medical work up to be done or whether we just want to give the pet time to adjust. An application is required to be filled out at the time of adoption. No appointment required to visit the animals during open hours. Upon finalizing adoption, each pet is current on vaccinations, altered, microchipped, FeLV/FIV test and/or heartworm tested. All animals over 7 years of age will have bloodwork performed at the vet. All known medical issues will be taken care of at the vet prior to finalizing adoption (dental cleanings, hernia repairs, mass removals, etc.).
